Is Kondai Lip near the glowing “Kavaru” backwaters people mention?
Kondai Lip itself doesn't have bioluminescence — but Kumbalangi, near Kochi (easily combined with a Fort Kochi trip), sees a seasonal blue glow in its backwaters from March to May. Kerala Tourism identifies this as Noctiluca scintillans, or “sea sparkle” — bioluminescent microorganisms that glow blue when the water is disturbed.
